This unique opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller * Financial Director to join a group of motor dealerships (4 dealerships in total). This role is based in Colchester, Essex and will cover other dealerships within East Anglia. Basic salary £45k - £65k according to experience.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, there are approx. 120 people in the group, with the Group Accountant working directly below you. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant preferably CIMA or alternatively ACCA qualified. It is essential that successful candidate has a minimum of 5 years corporate experience and a significant and demonstrable track record as a Financial Controller * Financial Director. Previous experience in the Motor Trade would be highly beneficial, although not essential. This is a hands on role as well as strategic accounts, dealing with an annual turnover of £50 million.
You will of course, have solid grounding in all aspects of financial and management accounting as well as management information systems, and possess excellent communication skills. You are lateral thinker and problem solver – you thrive on producing quality work to deadlines. Must be highly IT Literate, experience of Kerridge highly beneficial.
Duties include: -
Reporting to a board of Directors, attend Board meetings, produce board reports and operating budgets for Board approval, Brief directors on financial performance, advise on variances and prepare recommendations for future action, Prepare revision to Financial Plan for director, Control of working capital and responsibility for all financial aspects of the organisation, Prepare and distribute financial and management accounts and reports, Prepare quarterly and yearly revenue forecasts, daily cash flow management, annual and interim audits, Review monthly information and prepare consolidated monthly reports tracking actual to budgeted financial performance, prepare year end accounts for each of the businesses and the group.
